San Francisco 49ers News & Updates

Brandon Aiyuk, the wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers, may have suffered a torn ACL in his right knee during the game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, as stated by coach Kyle Shanahan. The injury happened towards the end of the second quarter, and Aiyuk has undergone tests to verify the diagnosis.

This injury compounds the issues faced by the Niners' receiving group, with Deebo Samuel absent from the game due to an illness and Jauan Jennings sidelined with a hip problem. With their top three receivers unavailable, San Francisco turned to experienced players Chris Conley and Ronnie Bell, along with rookies Ricky Pearsall and Jacob Cowing.

Ricky Pearsall, making his debut in the regular season after recovering from being shot in the chest during a robbery attempt, was selected by the Niners as their 31st pick in the NFL draft held in April.
