San Francisco 49ers News & Updates

The San Francisco 49ers' practice started on a high note with the return of George Kittle, Deebo Samuel, Trent Williams, and Brock Purdy. Kittle is hopeful about playing Sunday against New England, while Samuel practiced for the first time since his calf injury.

Unfortunately, the session saw injuries to Curtis Robinson (knee) and Jordan Elliott (foot). Robinson had to be carted off, and Elliott's participation status remains uncertain.

Kittle and Samuel were listed as limited on the injury report, but Kittle is confident he will play. He explained his hamstring injury occurred due to cramping during the Vikings game and subsequent soreness.

Samuel's return is encouraging since he was initially expected to be out for several weeks. Williams and Purdy have fully participated in practices this week.

The injuries to Robinson and Elliott are worrisome as both were expected to step up after Javon Hargrave's season-ending injury. The full extent of their injuries is still unknown.
