San Francisco 49ers News & Updates

Following this weekend's break, the 49ers are set to resume practice on Monday, featuring Ricky Pearsall, their first-round pick. Pearsall, who was shot back in August, will enter a 21-day practice period. Conversely, running back Christian McCaffrey, who has been sidelined on injured reserve since September due to Achilles tendinitis, will not yet begin his practice period.

There is a possibility for both players to be back in action before their match against the Kansas City Chiefs on October 20th. Nonetheless, Shanahan feels that McCaffrey requires additional time. McCaffrey experienced no issues during his initial week of practicing on the field, but when he will return is still unclear.

Pearsall has been making a good recovery after being shot during an attempted robbery. He has been present at practice and engaging in side conditioning. The 49ers are opting for a careful approach to his return, but anticipate he will have a gradual reentry.

According to sources, McCaffrey might be back by the game against the Dallas Cowboys on October 27th or the match at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on November 10th. Lately, he has been spotted visiting the locker room.
