Aaron Rodgers Shines in Jets' Victory Over Patriots During Thrilling Homecoming

Aaron Rodgers made a triumphant return to MetLife Stadium, steering the New York Jets to a convincing 24-3 win over the New England Patriots.

Rodgers completed two touchdown passes, connecting with Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard, as the Jets dominated both offensively and defensively against the Patriots.

The Jets' defense was formidable, sacking Jacoby Brissett five times and forcing a fumble that resulted in a Jets touchdown.

The Patriots struggled offensively, with Brissett managing only 98 passing yards and Drake Maye failing to impress in his NFL debut.

This victory ended the Jets' eight-game home losing streak against the Patriots and extended their winning streak to two games.

Despite previous concerns about his Achilles tendon injury, Rodgers displayed no signs of health issues, showcasing several scrambles and off-balance throws. He finished with 281 passing yards and received praise from Jets coach Robert Saleh for playing at a high level.

Additionally, Breece Hall contributed with a rushing touchdown and Chuck Clark forced and recovered a fumble.

The Patriots were hindered by injuries, with multiple players leaving the game in the fourth quarter. The Jets also faced an injury setback with Morgan Moses, who exited in the third quarter and did not return.

Looking ahead, both teams will play on September 29, with the Patriots heading to San Francisco and the Jets hosting Denver.
