Buffalo Bills News & Updates

The Buffalo Bills have strengthened their group of wide receivers by acquiring Amari Cooper in a trade with the Cleveland Browns.

In this exchange, the Bills obtained Cooper and a sixth-round pick for 2025, while giving up a third-round pick in 2025 and a seventh-round pick in 2026.

Cooper, who has been selected for the Pro Bowl five times, is expected to replace Stefon Diggs following his departure.

This transaction is part of a broader trend in the AFC East, where teams are enhancing their receiving squads, including the Jets' recent addition of Davante Adams.

During his time with the Browns, Cooper faced challenges, managing only 250 receiving yards and two touchdowns over six games.

Andrew Berry, the Browns' general manager, expressed gratitude for Cooper's efforts and contributions.

Without Diggs, the Bills' wide receivers have struggled, placing 25th or lower in essential receiving statistics.

To accommodate Cooper, Marquez Valdes-Scantling was released from the team.

Throughout his career, Cooper has achieved 691 receptions, totaling 9,736 yards and 62 touchdowns, and this is his third time being traded.
