Barkley Shines Against Former Team as Eagles Crush Giants 28-3 at Home

Saquon Barkley, formerly with the New York Giants, took on his old team as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles. In his first game against them, he showcased remarkable skill, amassing 176 yards and scoring a touchdown, leading to a 28-3 win.

Barkley's outstanding play turned the initial boos from Giants fans into applause by the game's conclusion. He focused intently despite the taunts and later reflected on how the early jeers transformed into respectful recognition.

Besides Barkley, Jalen Hurts played a crucial role with two quarterback sneaks and threw a touchdown pass to A.J. Brown. The Eagles' defense was formidable, recording eight sacks and restricting the Giants to just 119 yards.

The game vindicated Barkley's $37.5 million contract as he invigorated the Eagles' offense with a notable 55-yard run and a personal 3-yard touchdown. His performance, with 17 carries amounting to 176 yards, was among the best of his career.

Following the match, Giants coach Brian Daboll praised Barkley's performance, while Hurts completed the game with 114 passing yards and scored two rushing touchdowns.

The Giants continued their struggle at home, remaining without a win and managing to score just one touchdown across four games. Injuries to players like Mekhi Becton from the Eagles and Cor'Dale Flott from the Giants added to their lists of issues.

Looking ahead, the Eagles are set to play against Cincinnati next week, while the Giants will head to Pittsburgh for their upcoming Monday game.
