Chicago Bears News & Updates

The Bears will be without starting safety Jaquan Brisker due to a concussion and cornerback Kyler Gordon who is dealing with a hamstring issue when they face Washington.

Elijah Hicks and Josh Blackwell are set to start in their place. Hicks has already started once this season, and Blackwell has recorded an interception and a pass deflection.

Coach Matt Eberflus expressed confidence that they will perform well because they are familiar with the system.

Additionally, the Bears have parted ways with wide receiver and running back Velus Jones Jr., as well as fullback Khari Blasingame.

Offensive tackle Larry Borom, who is recovering from an ankle injury, and running back Travis Homer, who has a finger injury, returned to practice this week and might be activated from injured reserve.

Chicago currently has two available spots on its roster.
