Chicago Bears News & Updates

Cole Kmet, the tight end for the Chicago Bears, encountered his biggest football fear unexpectedly.

In a surprising development, Kmet scored two touchdowns and took on emergency long-snapping duties, contributing to Chicago’s 35-16 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.

Kmet successfully handled snaps following all four of Caleb Williams' touchdown throws and D'Andre Swift's 1-yard run, aiding the Bears in achieving their third win in a row.

Kmet, who caught two touchdown passes in the second quarter, had shared his apprehension about long-snapping before the match.

When regular long snapper Scott Daly left the game due to a knee injury, Kmet had to fill the position. Although designated as the backup long snapper, he had limited practice in this role.

Keenan Allen also secured two touchdown passes, punctuating his 9-yard touchdown with a celebration mimicking a tea party in the third quarter.

Kmet broke through two tackles for a 31-yard touchdown catch, giving Chicago a 7-3 advantage in the second quarter.

With just 13 seconds left in the first half, Williams connected with Kmet for another touchdown at the end of an 85-yard drive.

Williams ended the game with four touchdown passes and one interception, while Kmet gathered five receptions totaling 70 yards.

Despite their challenges, Jaguars coach Doug Pederson remained optimistic about his team.

Jacksonville tight end Evan Engram, coming back from injury, fumbled on the first drive of the third quarter, which led to Chicago's first touchdown.

Trevor Lawrence completed two touchdown passes, while Eng
