Bears Replace Offensive Coordinator Shane Waldron with Thomas Brown Due to Struggles on Offense

Shane Waldron has been relieved of his duties as the Chicago Bears offensive coordinator after a tenure of under 10 months.

Thomas Brown is now stepping up to the role of offensive coordinator. Head coach Matt Eberflus stated that this decision is in the team's best interest.

Waldron had been under fire due to the offense's shortcomings, which included challenges faced by quarterback Caleb Williams.

The Bears find themselves near the bottom of the NFL in various offensive metrics, such as scoring and yards per play.

During a recent game loss, Williams was sacked nine times and the offense successfully converted a mere 7% of third downs.

Brown, who previously took on play-calling responsibilities as the offensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers, will lead the coaching staff moving forward.
