Cincinnati Bengals News & Updates

Bengals coach Zac Taylor expressed his concerns regarding the hits on quarterback Joe Burrow during their defeat to the Ravens. He mentioned the need to become more outspoken in advocating for Burrow's protection on the field.

Burrow, who is typically hesitant to seek penalties, did recognize that some of the hits he endured could be classified as roughing the passer. He pointed out that dealing with such issues has been a recurrent theme in his career.

Even though Burrow was under pressure during 40% of his dropbacks in the game against the Ravens, he delivered an impressive performance by throwing for 428 yards and achieving four touchdowns.

Taylor confirmed that despite the challenges in the game, Burrow did not suffer any rib injuries, although he was feeling some soreness. The coach reassured that he will continue to focus on ensuring Burrow's safety.
