Buffalo Bills News & Updates

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is dealing with soreness but is expected to recover, as stated by head coach Sean McDermott. Allen sustained an impact during a trick play in a recent loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

He has an ongoing injury to his left hand but has been fully participating in practice while wearing a protective glove. After the hit, he felt discomfort in his lower back, yet he did not miss any game time. Tight end Dalton Kincaid also needed medical attention following the play but was able to return later.

Wide receiver Khalil Shakir is being monitored daily due to an ankle injury. During the team's loss, which ended their unbeaten start to the season, Allen took several hits.

The troublesome trick play took place in the third quarter. Wide receiver Curtis Samuel received a direct snap and threw the ball back to Allen, who was then tackled. Allen's throw was intercepted, and he was hit hard by a Ravens defender.

Offensive coordinator Joe Brady admits that calling the play was a poor decision and takes responsibility for the team's offensive issues. He stresses the importance of making better decisions in the future.

The loss marked the end of several positive streaks for the Bills, including a stretch of 43 games without losing by 10 or more points and Allen's streak of games with at least one passing or rushing touchdown.
