New York Jets News & Updates

On Monday night, the Buffalo Bills claimed a 23-20 win over the New York Jets, with Josh Allen leading the charge to establish control of the AFC East. Allen contributed by throwing two touchdown passes and scoring another with a run.

The Jets, now experiencing their third consecutive defeat, fell behind quickly following Allen's one-yard rushing touchdown. A significant play came at the end of the first half when Allen executed a Hail Mary pass to Allen Lazard, which appeared to secure the Bills' victory.

In the second half, the Jets mounted a comeback beginning with Aaron Rodgers connecting with Garrett Wilson for a touchdown. A field goal by Greg Zuerlein tied the game at 20-20. With 3:43 left on the clock, Tyler Bass kicked a 22-yard field goal to put the Bills ahead. The Bills’ defense then held the Jets from leveling the score again.

Allen ended the game with a total of 215 passing yards. Ray Davis had a performance that included 97 rushing yards and 55 receiving yards. On the Jets' side, Aaron Rodgers accumulated 294 passing yards and two touchdowns, while Breece Hall managed 113 rushing and 56 receiving yards.

The game was marked by a high number of penalties, with both teams accumulating 11 each. Furthermore, injuries troubled the Jets as safety Chuck Clark and cornerback D.J. Reed were forced to leave the game due to ankle and groin injuries, respectively.

Looking ahead, the Bills are set to host Tennessee next Sunday, whereas the Jets will head to Pittsburgh for a Sunday night matchup.
