Denver Broncos News & Updates

Even though Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix ranks low in major statistical categories after playing four games, coach Sean Payton remains hopeful about the rookie's potential.

With the Broncos managing a 2-2 record largely due to their defense, Nix has encountered difficulties. He ranks 31st in passer rating, average length of completions, and completion percentage, while being 32nd in touchdown passes.

During a rainy victory over the New York Jets, Nix managed only 60 passing yards but succeeded in throwing his first career touchdown to Courtland Sutton.

Payton explained that the challenges with the offense are a result of collective issues rather than any single player's fault, highlighting the significance of sticking to the game plan.

Payton also mentioned that the weather conditions initially impacted both Nix and the Jets' quarterback Aaron Rodgers, although these conditions improved as the game progressed.

Looking forward to the upcoming rivalry game against the Las Vegas Raiders, Nix expressed a positive outlook on his development despite the challenges faced in the Jets game.

Nix acknowledged Sutton for the gesture of giving him the game ball after his first touchdown pass and mentioned his intention to keep it at home.
