Dallas Cowboys News & Updates

In the first quarter against the Ravens, Brandon Aubrey kicked a field goal from 65 yards for the Cowboys, marking it as the second-longest kick in NFL history.

Aubrey's attempt was only one yard short of the record, which is held by Justin Tucker, who nailed a 66-yarder in 2021 for the Ravens.

Both of these impressive kicks took place indoors at AT&T Stadium, where the retractable roof was closed.

Aubrey's kick cleared the crossbar comfortably with extra distance to spare inside the right upright.

With this kick, Aubrey has now successfully made all 14 of his attempts from 50 yards or more in his two NFL seasons, continuing his record for such makes without a miss to begin a career.

Previously, at the end of the first half in the opener against Cleveland, Aubrey attempted a 66-yarder, but the kick was nullified due to a delay of game penalty.

The Cowboys' coaches had thought about letting Aubrey attempt a 71-yarder, but decided against it when the Browns positioned a returner in the end zone.
