Josh Reynolds, a wide receiver for the Broncos, was shot early last Friday morning in Denver but only suffered minor injuries.
The team indicated that Reynolds received treatment and was discharged from a local hospital not long after the event occurred.
Despite undergoing finger surgery and being on injured reserve, Reynolds was seen at the Broncos' facility this week.
It is reported that Reynolds, along with two others, left a strip club in Glendale at 2:45 a.m. on Friday. After departing in an SUV, they were reportedly followed by several vehicles, and shots were fired at them.
The SUV that Reynolds was in became inoperable on Interstate 25, leading him and his companion to exit the vehicle. Police later found the SUV with bullet damage.
A third person in Reynolds' group was hurt by shattered glass but was not wounded by any bullets.
In connection with the shooting, authorities have arrested Burr Charlesworth and Luis Mendoza. They are being held on suspicions of attempted first-degree murder and first-degree assault.
Investigators suspect that Mendoza chased after Reynolds and his group as they left the strip club.
