Denver Broncos News & Updates

Denver Broncos' top tackler, Alex Singleton, experienced a torn ACL during the team's triumph over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Despite enduring the injury in the first quarter while intercepting a pass, Singleton participated in all 57 defensive plays. He completed the game despite being hurt.

The Broncos' coach, Sean Payton, confirmed Singleton's injury after a practice session at the Greenbrier Resort.

Singleton, who has been the leading tackler for the Broncos over the past two seasons, will be out for the rest of the season.

His absence will leave a notable gap in the Broncos' defense, as he also handled the coach-to-player communication through his helmet during matches.

Possible replacements for Singleton's position include Cody Barton, Justin Strnad, and Kristian Welch.

According to Payton, Singleton is currently with the team in West Virginia and is scheduled to undergo surgery in about two weeks.
