The Minnesota Wild achieved their fifth consecutive win by defeating the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-3 on Monday night.
Kevin Fiala secured the game-winning goal with a little over two minutes left in the third period. Jordan Greenway earlier gave the Wild a 3-1 lead during the second period, but the Penguins managed to tie the score in the third. Jake Guentzel netted a power-play goal and Kris Letang contributed another goal for the Penguins in the final period.
Kirill Kaprizov also found the net for the Wild. Tristan Jarry made 30 saves for the Penguins, while Cam Talbot stopped 23 shots for the Wild.
Currently, the Wild hold the longest active winning streak in the NHL, whereas the Penguins have experienced three losses in their last four matches.
