Broncos Running Back Tyler Badie Injured; Team Edges Out Jets 10-9

In the Broncos' narrow 10-9 win against the Jets, running back Tyler Badie sustained an injury during the second quarter.

While making a reception, Badie was tackled from behind by Jets linebacker Quincy Williams, whose helmet made contact with Badie's lower back. Though Badie initially managed to walk to the bench, he was soon examined by medical staff.

Badie was subsequently placed on a backboard, secured, and taken off the field by cart. The Broncos later confirmed that he had suffered a back injury and would not be returning to the game.

Previously promoted to the active roster, Badie had spent the 2023 season and the first three weeks of the current season on the practice squad. Before this game, he had achieved 86 yards on 10 carries.
