Cleveland Browns News & Updates

The Browns have plans to construct a new stadium with a dome in Brook Park.

Mayor Justin Bibb shared his dissatisfaction with this decision, pointing to budget limitations and the values of the community.

Dee and Jimmy Haslam defended this choice, explaining that merely renovating the current stadium would fail to resolve operational challenges or draw major events.

Cleveland had put forward a plan to renovate and redevelop the stadium at the cost of $1.2 billion, which included extending the lease by 30 years. This proposal had backing from Cuyahoga County.

Since 1946, the Browns have had their home near Lake Erie, but the stadium there has suffered from ongoing traffic and parking problems.

The planned stadium and entertainment hub in Brook Park comes with an estimated price tag of $2.4 billion, and the Haslams are aiming for an equal partnership of private and public funding.

The Haslams highlighted their work alongside city, county, and state leaders and reaffirmed their dedication to ongoing collaboration.
