Browns' Quarterbacks Challenge Right Tackle Dawand Jones Over Missed Block in Defeat to Raiders

In the first half of the Cleveland Browns' 16-20 defeat to the Las Vegas Raiders, cameras caught quarterbacks Deshaun Watson and Jameis Winston scolding right tackle Dawand Jones for a missed block.

The error by Jones allowed defensive end Tyree Wilson to get to Watson, resulting in an incomplete pass to Amari Cooper. Watson immediately confronted Jones, while Winston was held back by teammates.

The players acknowledged the mistake but tried to downplay its significance. Watson stressed the importance of better execution, while Jones admitted to being disappointed in himself. Later, Watson offered words of encouragement to Jones, expressing his confidence in him.

This loss was the Browns' second in a row, bringing their record to 1-3 under coach Kevin Stefanski. Winston highlighted the team's commitment to accountability and encouragement.

The Browns are set to play the Washington Commanders on October 6th in their next match.
