Cleveland Browns News & Updates

Nick Chubb, the running back for the Cleveland Browns, has returned to practice for the first time since his knee surgery last year. However, the timing for his season debut remains uncertain.

After experiencing an injury in Week 2 of the 2023 season, Chubb has undergone several knee surgeries. Despite his promising return to practice, he is not expected to play in the upcoming game against the Washington Commanders on Sunday.

Chubb mentioned that his knee feels well following his initial practice, but he did not provide a specific date for his return to the field this season. The Browns have a 21-day window to add him to the active roster.

Although he has a track record of knee issues, Chubb is confident in his ability to perform at his previous standards. He highlights his intent to focus on quick play without being concerned about contact or the possibility of re-injury.

The Browns' offensive coordinator, Ken Dorsey, mentioned that it is too soon to evaluate Chubb's recovery. Nevertheless, his return is highly anticipated by the offense, which has been struggling with scoring and accumulating rushing yards. Additionally, quarterback Deshaun Watson currently holds the lowest Total QBR in the league.
