Cleveland Browns News & Updates

Jerome Ford, the running back for the Cleveland Browns, did not participate in Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles because of a hamstring injury.

The injury occurred during the Browns' second possession, and he was attended by medical staff before being declared unfit to continue in the game.

Before getting injured, Ford was the top rusher for Cleveland, having gained 250 yards on 48 carries. During Sunday's game, he managed to make two carries for a total of 14 yards.

Ford's absence comes as Nick Chubb, a running back who has been selected for the Pro Bowl four times, is expected to return in Week 7. Chubb is anticipated to play his first game of the season against the Cincinnati Bengals next Sunday after recovering from a serious left knee injury.

Chubb's knee injury, which ended his season, occurred in Week 2 of the 2023 season. To address the injury, he went through two surgeries to repair damage to his medial capsule, meniscus, MCL, and ACL.
