Buffalo Bills' running back James Cook may not be able to play in Monday's game against the New York Jets due to a toe injury, but he plans to be on the field.
Cook got injured during the game they lost to the Houston Texans in Week 5. He was unable to join the practice sessions at the start of the week but participated in a limited capacity during the team's final practice.
Alongside Cook, wide receiver Khalil Shakir (ankle), defensive tackle Austin Johnson (oblique), and nickel cornerback Taron Johnson (forearm) are also uncertain to play and were limited in practice. Taron Johnson has been sidelined since his injury in Week 1.
Wide receivers Curtis Samuel (toe) and Mack Hollins (shoulder) are expected to be ready for the game.
The Bills are focused on avoiding a third consecutive loss, a situation that hasn't occurred since 2018.
