The Canadiens managed to tie the game in the second period, thanks to a goal from Brendan Gallagher. However, Patrice Bergeron's goal restored the Bruins' lead. Brad Marchand further increased the Bruins' advantage to 4-1 in the third period.
Cole Caufield's goal brought the Canadiens closer, making it 4-2, but Nick Foligno secured the win for the Bruins with an empty-net goal.
Tuukka Rask was solid in the Bruins' net, stopping 25 shots, while Carey Price made 30 saves for the Canadiens.
With this win, the Bruins now have a 2-0 lead in their best-of-seven series. The next game, Game 3, will be played on Tuesday night in Montreal.
