Chicago Bears News & Updates

Caleb Williams, the rookie quarterback for the Bears, was surprised by his high pass count of 52 during their defeat to the Colts.

Williams achieved a new single-game passing record for Bears rookies with 33 completions for 363 yards and two touchdowns. Despite their struggles in the running game, Chicago managed a 17-play drive in the first half but couldn't score from the Colts' 1-yard line.

Tight end Cole Kmet believes the Bears need to improve their mindset to finish drives and gain those short distances effectively.

Williams' first NFL touchdown pass was a 1-yard effort to Rome Odunze, followed by a 6-yard pass to Kmet. Williams remains optimistic about the offense's capability to finish drives with passing touchdowns but noted their lack of big pass plays.

DJ Moore stressed the importance of the Bears quickly finding their offensive identity to better support the team's defense and special teams.
