Arizona Cardinals News & Updates

The Arizona Cardinals' outside linebacker, Dennis Gardeck, has experienced an ACL tear that will prevent him from playing for the rest of the season. This injury occurred during Monday night's matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers, as reported by coach Jonathan Gannon on Tuesday.

Gardeck was injured during a punt return in the third quarter and was taken to the locker room immediately afterward. Now in his seventh year, Gardeck is in the last year of a three-year deal. This season, he has recorded 20 tackles, 3 sacks, and one interception in seven games.

In Gardeck's absence, the Cardinals will turn to players such as Jesse Luketa, Xavier Thomas, Victor Dimukeje, and Julian Okwara to step up at the outside linebacker position. Presently, the team has achieved 14 sacks this season, ranking them 21st in the NFL.
