Carolina Panthers Linebacker Shaq Thompson Faces Another Season-Ending Achilles Tear

Carolina Panthers linebacker Shaq Thompson has experienced another season-ending injury for the second year in a row.
Thompson sustained an Achilles tear during the fourth quarter of Sunday's defeat against the Cincinnati Bengals.
As a former first-round pick, he has faced a challenging period with just one winning season since the Panthers reached the Super Bowl in 2015.
Despite these injury challenges, Thompson has stated he does not intend to retire.
Rookie Trevin Wallace is expected to be the top candidate to take Thompson's place in the lineup.
Thompson has now joined fellow team captain Derrick Brown on the injured reserve list.
