Carolina Panthers News & Updates

Rookie running back Jonathon Brooks from the Carolina Panthers will miss the game against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, even though he was marked as questionable, according to coach Dave Canales. Additionally, veteran wide receiver Adam Thielen and outside linebacker D.J. Wonnum will be unavailable for the game.

All three players are anticipated to return in next week's game in Munich where they will face the New York Giants.

The Panthers will also be missing starting left tackle Ikem Ekwonu due to an ankle injury. Brady Christensen will shift from center to take Ekwonu's place, while Cade Mays will step in as the starting center.

Carolina is currently on a five-game losing streak, and the Saints are on a six-game losing streak. This marks the first occasion since Week 18 of the 2022 season that two teams with at least five consecutive losses each are facing one another.

This will be the third instance since 2002 where two NFC South teams on losing streaks of at least five games have competed against each other.
