The Chicago Bears have let go of veteran player Nate Davis at the age of 28, allowing him to enter waivers.
Before the game against the New England Patriots on Sunday, Davis was added to the injury list due to back tightness concerns and was subsequently sent home.
Despite signing a significant three-year contract worth $30 million with the Bears in 2023, Davis did not meet expectations. Over two seasons, he started 13 games but was eventually benched and replaced by Matt Pryor.
In total, Davis took part in 16 games for Chicago, after initially spending four seasons with Tennessee as a third-round draft choice.
