Chicago Bears News & Updates

In Glendale, Arizona, the Bears' rookie quarterback, Caleb Williams, sustained an injury to his left ankle during Chicago's 29-9 defeat against the Cardinals. Despite the incident, he avoided any severe damage.

Williams injured his ankle towards the end of the game after successfully completing a pass. He limped off the field but later indicated he was feeling fine after the game. Coach Matt Eberflus also confirmed this view.

Although they were trailing by a significant margin, the Bears continued with passing plays during their final drive. Eberflus clarified that this was an attempt to enhance their timing in the two-minute offense.

Williams mentioned that the choice to keep playing was not up to him, but he highlighted the importance of battling until the very end. It was the first time in eight games that the Bears finished without scoring a touchdown.

Eberflus recognized the flaws in Chicago's offense and accepted responsibility for them. He stressed the necessity for better running and pass protection to aid Williams, who completed 22 of 41 passes without any turnovers.
