Chicago Bears' Safety Jaquan Brisker Begins Concussion Protocol Following Panthers Matchup

Chicago Bears News & Updates

Jaquan Brisker, the safety for the Chicago Bears, entered the concussion protocol after experiencing symptoms following the team's victory over the Carolina Panthers.

Brisker, aged 25, made a significant hit on Panthers' tight end Tommy Tremble in the second quarter, which led to a turnover. Despite this impact, Brisker stayed in the game, participating in 85% of the defensive plays.

However, the day after the game, Brisker reported symptoms himself and was placed in the protocol. Should he pass through the five-step concussion protocol successfully, he will be part of the Bears' roster for their London game.

This marks Brisker's third concussion diagnosis over the last three seasons. In the past, he has missed two games during his rookie year, plus another two games in the previous season due to similar issues.

In the event that Brisker is unable to play, Elijah Hicks, the backup safety, is expected to take his place. Additionally, the Bears have communicated that defensive tackle Zacch Pickens and cornerback Terell Smith will not accompany the team to London because of their respective injuries.
