Kansas City Chiefs News & Updates

The owner of the Kansas City Chiefs is backing a political action committee initiated by kicker Harrison Butker, aimed at motivating Christians to support traditional values through voting.

Harrison Butker started the Upright PAC during his team's bye week, expressing his intention to leverage his influence to bring about change. The committee's website highlights both Butker and Missouri Senator Josh Hawley, who has received Butker's endorsement.

Butker's involvement in politics includes delivering a contentious commencement speech that touched on topics like gender ideologies, Pride month, and abortion. The NFL has distanced itself from these opinions.

On the other hand, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has refrained from endorsing any political candidates, stressing the need for people to do thorough research and make decisions based on informed judgment.

In response to former President Donald Trump's assertions about Mahomes' wife backing his campaign, Mahomes has clarified that his focus is on community service while respecting his family's privacy in political matters.
