Kansas City Chiefs News & Updates

Chiefs cornerback Jaylen Watson is set to have surgery for broken leg bones, as informed by sources to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

There is a possibility that Watson might return later in the season if the Chiefs make it to the playoffs, but his comeback is not certain.

The injury occurred during the game they won against the 49ers on Sunday. This season, Watson has started every game and has recorded six pass deflections.

Watson became a part of the Chiefs in 2022 after being chosen in the seventh round of the draft. Since joining the team, he has participated in 39 games, with 11 of those being starts.

The lead contenders to replace Watson as a starter are Joshua Williams or Nazeeh Johnson, both of whom were drafted by the Chiefs in 2022.
