The Philadelphia Eagles triumphed over the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC championship game, earning them a place in Super Bowl LVII.
The Eagles initiated the game with momentum, managing a touchdown on their opening drive. The 49ers quickly answered with a touchdown, but the Eagles took back the lead with a field goal before halftime. Neither team scored in the third quarter until the 49ers equalized with a touchdown in the fourth. Nevertheless, the Eagles secured the win by responding with a touchdown of their own.
Leading the Eagles, quarterback Jalen Hurts accumulated 370 passing yards, ran for 27 yards, and was responsible for 4 total touchdowns, with three through the air and one on the ground. Wide receiver A.J. Brown served as his main target, achieving 154 receiving yards and a touchdown. Miles Sanders, the Eagles' running back, also played a key role in their offensive performance by rushing for 194 yards.
For the 49ers, Brock Purdy was at the helm as quarterback, completing 23 out of 37 passes for 214 yards with one interception. Running back Christian McCaffrey ran for 119 yards and contributed 10 receptions for 64 receiving yards. Despite playing with an ankle injury, wide receiver Deebo Samuel managed 5 catches for 32 yards.
