The Miami Heat's four-game winning streak came to an end with a 102-82 loss to the Boston Celtics. Marcus Smart played a key role for Boston, scoring 24 points, while Jimmy Butler managed to score 23 points for Miami.

During the initial half, the Celtics' defensive efforts were effective, limiting the Heat to only 31 points. Jaylen Brown contributed 19 points for Boston, and Tyler Herro added 16 points for Miami.

Though the Heat made a push in the third quarter to narrow the deficit to eight points, the Celtics answered with a decisive 10-0 run, putting the game out of Miami's reach. Boston excelled defensively, restricting Miami to a 37.5% field goal shooting rate, while the Celtics themselves shot 51.1%.

This victory held extra significance for Brad Stevens, marking his 500th game as the Celtics' coach. With this win, Boston's record improved to 47-28, whereas Miami's record declined to 44-32.
