Kansas City Chiefs News & Updates

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has had surgery on his injured right knee, specifically on the posterolateral corner, as announced by head coach Andy Reid on Monday.

Reid explained that the recovery period mirrors that of ACL reconstruction, typically taking around ten to twelve months before a return to full activity.

Reid mentioned that the healing process will be gradual, and Rice will start his rehabilitation and progress over time.

The injury occurred during a Week 4 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers when quarterback Patrick Mahomes unintentionally collided with Rice's knee while chasing a fumble following an interception.

Prior to his injury, Rice was leading the NFL with 24 receptions and ranked second in receiving yards, totaling 288.
