The Philadelphia Eagles achieved a commanding win over the San Francisco 49ers with a score of 31-7 in the NFC Championship game, earning their place in Super Bowl LVII.
The Eagles' offense took control in the first half, quickly scoring two touchdowns in the opening minutes. Miles Sanders and Boston Scott were responsible for the early touchdowns.
The 49ers found it difficult to match the momentum of the Eagles. Quarterback Brock Purdy, who stepped in for the injured Trey Lance, was intercepted twice. San Francisco managed a lone touchdown in the third quarter, which was a pass from Purdy to Christian McCaffrey.
The Eagles' defense remained strong, restricting the 49ers to only 161 yards of total offense. Haason Reddick spearheaded the defense, recording a team-high two sacks.
This victory marks the Eagles' first NFC Championship win since 2017. They are set to compete against the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl on February 12 in Glendale, Arizona.
