Kansas City Chiefs News & Updates

The Chiefs defeated the 49ers with a 28-18 scoreline, but wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster worsened a hamstring injury he had during the first quarter and couldn't continue playing.

Initially, there was doubt about his ability to return, but by the third quarter, it was decided that he would not be playing for the remainder of the day.

Smith-Schuster's injury was first suffered during a Thursday practice session, which forced him to leave early. Despite this setback, he was able to participate in Friday's practice, and Head Coach Andy Reid deemed him ready to play in the match against the 49ers.

In their previous matchup, Smith-Schuster performed impressively, reaching over 100 receiving yards for the first time in two years. He collected 130 yards from seven catches in the victory over the Saints.
