New Orleans Saints News & Updates

The New York Yankees delivered an impressive display, claiming a 6-2 win against the Houston Astros at Yankee Stadium.

Gerrit Cole, the starting pitcher, took control on the mound, giving up just one earned run over six innings and striking out eight. The Yankees' offense backed him up early, scoring two runs in the opening inning thanks to a single from Giancarlo Stanton.

The Astros tried to come back in the third inning, narrowing the gap to 2-1 with a solo home run by Alex Bregman. Nonetheless, the Yankees widened their lead again in the fifth inning with Josh Donaldson hitting a three-run homer.

Following Cole's exit, the Yankees' bullpen effectively subdued Houston, as Miguel Castro, Lucas Luetge, and Clay Holmes jointly surrendered only one hit over three innings. Although the Astros managed to add a run in the ninth, it was insufficient to stop the Yankees from capturing the win.
