The Chicago Cubs secured a 6-1 victory against the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday evening, with Kyle Hendricks delivering an impressive display.
Hendricks dominated the game by pitching seven scoreless innings, conceding just two hits and no walks. He struck out eight hitters and earned his sixth win of the year.
Anthony Rizzo shone in the Cubs' offense, achieving three hits in four at-bats, including a home run and driving in two runs. Willson Contreras also contributed with a home run for the Cubs, and Jason Heyward added two hits along with an RBI.
The Twins managed to score a single run through a solo home run by Eddie Rosario in the eighth inning. Minnesota's starter Jake Odorizzi faced difficulties, giving up six runs on ten hits over 5 2/3 innings.
