The New York Rangers triumphed over the Philadelphia Flyers with a score of 5-2 during their Thursday night matchup at Madison Square Garden. This victory marked the Rangers' third consecutive win and their fourth in the last five games.

Vitali Kravtsov found the net twice for the Rangers, with Mika Zibanejad contributing a goal and an assist. Goaltender Igor Shesterkin secured the win by making 30 saves.

On the Flyers' side, goals were scored by Owen Tippett and Travis Konecny, while goalie Carter Hart managed to make 24 saves.

The Rangers gained an early advantage when Kravtsov scored just 2:53 into the game. At 14:18 of the first period, Zibanejad extended the lead to 2-0 with a power-play goal.

The Flyers responded with Tippett's goal at 1:12 of the second period. However, the Rangers swiftly countered as Kravtsov scored his second goal at 3:08.

In the third period, Konecny struck for the Flyers at 10:52, narrowing the score to 3-2. The Rangers, however, cemented their victory with additional goals from Artemi Panarin at 15:03 and Alexis Lafreniere at 18:46.

With this win, the Rangers improved their season record to 4-2-1, while the Flyers dropped to a record of 2-4-0.
