New Orleans Saints News & Updates

Chris Olave, who plays as a wide receiver for the New Orleans Saints, is thinking about wearing a Guardian Cap in the upcoming matchup against the Carolina Panthers. This type of padding helps lower the risk of concussions. Olave experienced a concussion in Week 6 and has had to sit out two games in his career due to concussions.

Guardian Caps have been proven to reduce the chances of concussions by 52%. While many players are required to use them during practice, they have the choice to wear them during games as well. A number of players in the league, like Tua Tagovailoa and Luke Goedeke, have chosen to use Guardian Caps during games.

During practice, Olave had the Saints' logo on his Guardian Cap, but it was absent in Thursday's practice. In the last game, he took a hit to the helmet but came back on the field after being assessed for a concussion. He believes that the new helmet he is currently using offers better protection compared to his previous one.
