Cleveland Browns News & Updates

Even after tossing three interceptions in their 27-10 defeat to the Los Angeles Chargers, Jameis Winston will continue as the starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, as stated by head coach Kevin Stefanski.

Winston faced challenges in his second start after having previously led the Browns to a surprising victory over the Baltimore Ravens. In this game, he completed 26 of 46 passes, accumulating 235 yards with a single touchdown and three interceptions. He was also brought down six times by sacks.

During the first half, Cleveland only managed to gain 57 net yards and was trailing 20-3 at the break. All three of Winston's interceptions happened in the second half.

Winston admitted to making three critical errors and emphasized the importance of recognizing these plays that could improve the team's performance. He suggested that it's about taking responsibility and that the team would embrace it.

On the Browns' active roster, Dorian Thompson-Robinson and Bailey Zappe are the other quarterbacks available, while Deshaun Watson is sidelined for the season due to a right Achilles tendon injury.
