Indianapolis Colts News & Updates

Anthony Richardson, the quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts, is set to resume his starting position this Sunday when they play against the Miami Dolphins.

Richardson has been out of action following an oblique injury he suffered in Week 4, with veteran Joe Flacco covering for him during this period.

The Colts' head coach, Shane Steichen, decided not to play Richardson last week against Tennessee because he had not fully recovered. Now, having taken part in all practices this week, Richardson has shown he is ready to return.

Coach Steichen expressed his approval of Richardson's performance in practice sessions, noting his accurate passing and agility.

Richardson is keen to achieve stability after being absent from several regular-season games since his draft in 2023.

Meanwhile, the Colts will continue to miss running back Jonathan Taylor, who is still recovering from a high ankle sprain. Although there were earlier hints of his return, Taylor has not yet returned to practice.

Coach Steichen mentioned that Taylor's recovery is almost complete.

The Colts have encountered difficulties in their running game without Taylor and Richardson, averaging 90 rushing yards in the last two games compared to 132 yards in the initial four games.
