Dallas Cowboys News & Updates

After Dallas suffered a 3-6 defeat, Micah Parsons voiced doubts regarding Mike McCarthy continuing as head coach beyond 2025.

Parsons felt for veteran players like Zack Martin, who may have limited time left in the NFL compared to McCarthy. Martin, with a greater contribution to the team than McCarthy, is in the last year of his contract.

McCarthy, who is also in the final year of his contract, has an impressive record with 170 regular-season victories and a Super Bowl title, but the Cowboys have not advanced past the divisional round while he has been in charge.

Despite the team's difficulties, owner Jerry Jones has consistently stated that there will be no coaching changes during the season.

The Cowboys' chances of making the playoffs are uncertain, especially with Dak Prescott expected to have surgery for a hamstring issue. Jones has noted the team’s many injuries and plans to take these into account when assessing the season.

Although the contracts for McCarthy and the entire coaching staff are coming to an end, Jones is considering other potential changes but remains careful about what effects they might have.
