Dallas Cowboys News & Updates

The Dallas Cowboys have placed their defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence on injured reserve due to a right foot injury. Lawrence is anticipated to be sidelined for four to eight weeks but will not require surgery. Additionally, the Cowboys have signed KJ Henry from the Cincinnati Bengals' practice squad.

Henry participated in two games for the Bengals before being released and then rejoining their practice squad. Initially, the Commanders had released Henry during their final cuts, allowing the Bengals to claim him due to their priority in the process. Last year, Henry recorded 19 tackles and 1.5 sacks in 10 games for the Commanders.

This week, the Cowboys are also preparing to play without Micah Parsons owing to an ankle injury. As part of their adjustments, they plan to elevate Carl Lawson from the practice squad for the third consecutive game and possibly add him to the 53-man roster. Tyrus Wheat is also on their active roster.

Cowboys' owner and general manager, Jerry Jones, has stated that the team will not pursue a trade for a defensive end at this time.
