San Francisco 49ers News & Updates

Deebo Samuel, the receiver for the San Francisco 49ers, has been released from the hospital after being treated for pneumonia.

He was hospitalized on Sunday when it was found that he had fluid in his lungs. According to Coach Kyle Shanahan, Samuel's illness began late Saturday night or early Sunday morning.

Despite his condition, he participated in four plays during the game against the Kansas City Chiefs before leaving due to breathing difficulties, throat discomfort, and stomach issues.

Shanahan remains unsure about Samuel's participation in the upcoming match against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night. The team plans to update his status after resuming practice on Wednesday.

Samuel's health concern adds to the challenges faced by the 49ers receiving corps. Brandon Aiyuk is out for the season with knee injuries, Jauan Jennings is dealing with a hip problem, and Chris Conley is nursing a sprained ankle.
