Cleveland Browns News & Updates

In the game between the Browns and the Bengals, Deshaun Watson, the quarterback, sustained an injury to his right Achilles. This happened in the first half during a noncontact play when he fell while trying to carry the ball.

Watson showed visible emotion as he was taken off the field on a cart, joined by the entire Browns sideline. It was subsequently confirmed that he would not return to the game.

Because Jameis Winston was designated as the emergency third quarterback and was inactive, Dorian Thompson-Robinson stepped in to replace Watson.

Now in his third season with the Browns, Watson has struggled this year. He began the game completing 15 of 17 passes for 128 yards, but among qualified passers, he has the lowest QBR.
