Seattle Seahawks News & Updates

Seattle Seahawks' wide receiver DK Metcalf has sustained a Grade 1 MCL sprain, as stated by coach Mike Macdonald. A source previously indicated that Metcalf's status is being assessed on a week-by-week basis. Macdonald has not dismissed the possibility of Metcalf participating in the upcoming Week 8 game against the Buffalo Bills, referring to the injury as minor.

This season, Metcalf has accumulated 568 receiving yards. He was injured during the third quarter of the victory against the Atlanta Falcons. Before exiting, he managed to secure four catches for a total of 99 yards, which included a touchdown. Throughout seven games, he has achieved three touchdowns but also recorded two lost fumbles.

The Seahawks are optimistic that cornerback Riq Woolen will resume practice on Wednesday. However, the condition of Tre Brown remains uncertain. Woolen has been absent for the past two games, and Brown did not participate in the game versus Atlanta.

George Fant is anticipated to return to practice this week, and there is a chance that Abe Lucas will be marked for a return from the physically unable to perform list after knee surgery. There are also discussions about Stone Forsythe and Mike Jerrell potentially starting at right tackle against Buffalo.
