Dolphins Quarterback Decision: Will Boyle, Huntley, or Thompson Face the Titans?

Miami Dolphins News & Updates

The Miami Dolphins are contemplating a potential change at the quarterback position for their upcoming game against the Tennessee Titans, according to head coach Mike McDaniel.

McDaniel admitted that the team's offense struggled significantly in their recent loss, which was led by Skylar Thompson. Thompson left the game due to injury and was replaced by Tim Boyle. With Thompson's status still unclear, the team is also evaluating Tyler Huntley as a possible starter.

Thompson's performance in Seattle was lackluster, and although Boyle showed slight improvement, the Dolphins were unable to score a touchdown, a rare occurrence since McDaniel took over. This game marked the lowest scoring output under McDaniel’s leadership.

Expressing surprise at the team's disappointing performance, McDaniel stressed the importance of accountability. He mentioned that a decision on the starting quarterback would be made soon to ensure sufficient preparation time.

In the meantime, starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will be unavailable for at least three more games as he continues to adhere to the NFL’s concussion protocol. He will be consulting with neurologists this week.
